What is Allegra?

 

Allegra, which utilizes the drug Fexofenadine, is a popular medication applied to relieve the allergy symptoms associated with hay fever (runny nose, red or watery eyes, sneezing, itching of the throat, nose or roof of the mouth). Allegra is suitable for adults and children 2 years and older.

 

In addition to treating the symptoms associated with allergies, Allegra is effective in relieving uritcaria—a medical condition that yields itchy raised areas of the skin and hives. Allegra, because of Fexofenadine, belongs to a class of medications referred to as antihistamines. Allegra is effective in treating Allergy symptoms because it blocks the effects of histamine, a natural substance in the human body that promotes allergic symptoms. 

 

What are the Side Effects of Allegra?

 

Although Allegra is effective in treating allergy symptoms, improper use of the drug yields various side effects of Allegra. In addition to irresponsible use, simple adverse reactions are possible, thus promoting the presence of Allegra side effects. 

 

Allegra side effects, in general, are timid. If severe side effects of Allegra are; however observered, you must stop using the drug and contact your medical doctor or pharmacist. Allegra, because of Fexofenadine, may cause the following Allegra side effects. Side Effects of Allegra:

 

• Allegra Side effects include headaches and dizziness

 

• Side of effects Allegra include diarrhea, vomiting and pain in the legs, arms or back

• The most common Allegra side effect is a nagging cough

Side Effects of Allegra:

 

• Serious side effects of Allegra include rashes, itching, hives and difficulty swallowing or breathing

 

• Allegra side effects that require immediate medical intervention include swelling of the throat, face, lips, eyes, ankles, feet or lower legs

 

• Hoarseness is also a common side effect of Allegra

Also, be sure to store the medicine in its container and out of reach of children. Store the medication at room temperature and way from excess moisture and heat. Common symptoms of Allegra overdose include: dry mouth, dizziness and/or drowsiness.
